Cleancaf® Brand Cleaner and Descaler is an essential component to maintaining great tasting coffee at home. Cleancaf® is designed to remove flavor-tainting stale coffee oil residue from home machines. Its dual action formula also prevents the accumulation of scale deposits which are responsible for slow brew times and machine malfunctions. Portion packaged for easy use, Cleancaf® also contains a blue-dye which helps to ensure proper rinsing.Directions: 1.Dissolve contents of Cleancaf® package in 1L of warm water. Pour into water reservoir. Put empty pot and filter basket in place. For espresso machines attach handle and place an empty container below.2.Turn machine on and begin the brew cycle. For espresso machines, also allow several ounces of Cleancaf® solution to flow through steam pipe (into a container to avoid spray.) Discard entire solution once it has passed through your machine.3.Rinse all components and repeat steps 1 and 2 twice with clean water only. Espresso machines remove handle. You may soak handle and filters in Cleancaf® solution then rinse all components with clean water

Best Coffeemaker Cleaner Ever!

I got a sample of this product in my new Hamilton Beach Brew Station. The first time I used it, I could not believe how great it is.

Things I like:

Dissolve in 4 cups of water, pour in coffeemaker. Dissolves easily.

Run through the coffeemaker, then wipe and rinse parts. I said "wipe", not "scrub"! First one I ever used that I could do that. I was very impressed.

Two subsequent run throughs with clear water. The cleaner is tinted with a blue color, so that you can see if you have got it all rinsed out.

Then you are done. That's it. No more muss, fuss, or mess.

It does say to use it once a week. I find once a month is plenty for us, but that would depend on coffeemaker usage. Fabulous product.

It works just like promised. Illy recommends this product for their coffee machines, which is why I bought it. It is pretty easy to use. Just follow directions. Note the proportions, though. My coffee maker's water reserve needed only one half of the packet.
The Only Cleaner I Use

I love the ease and quality of this coffee pot cleaner. I have used it on several machines that I have had and it always does a good job with very little fuss or mess. We have a well and have hard water, so I clean our coffee pot every month with this product. Works great!
Coffee maker descaler

Best product I've found to actually deep clean or descale/decalcify the coffee maker that I use (a Hamilton Beach Brewstation Plus). A bit expensive, but I'm sure it adds to the life of my coffee maker.

I used this on my Gaggia Espresso machine and it worked great.

A bit of advice though: you will probably need to run more water through it after use. The directions say to run 32 oz. through the machine twice after application but I found it necessary to run it through at least 4 or 5 times to make sure the water was clear coming out.

I'm sure every machine is different.

Great value too. 1 pack per application and 2 packs per box. Shipment comes with 3 boxes.

Highly recommend if you use your coffee machine a lot.
